A community venue with history, charm and character, Onetangi Community Hall nestles below Pohutukawa Reserve – just a short walk away from the sandy expanse of Onetangi Beach on Waiheke Island.
Owned by the Onetangi Residents’ Association, the hall has been a focal point for community activity since 1952 – a place where various social and special interest groups meet, to hold classes, share hobbies, sell local products or stage performances. It is also becoming an increasingly popular venue for weddings and other special occasion events.
Onetangi Residents’ Association (ORA) has been looking after community interests, advocating for local facilities and functioning as a spokesperson for local issues since 1942.
ORA’s mission is to nurture a sense of community by supporting local groups and providing social opportunies that encourage community connection. ORA aims to be at the heart of the community with the hall providing a sustainable and accessible location for all.
