About

A community venue with history, charm, and character, Onetangi Community Hall is nestled below Pohutukawa Reserve – just a short walk away from the sandy expanse of Onetangi Beach on Waiheke Island.

Check out our Gallery page for photos of the hall.

Owned by the Onetangi Residents’ Association, the hall has been a focal point for community activities  since 1952 – a place where various social and special interest groups meet to hold classes, share hobbies, sell local products, or stage performances. It is also becoming an increasingly popular venue for weddings and conferences.

The hall is owned and operated by The Onetangi Residents Association, a voluntary association, for which our committee members give their time freely.

The hall is airconditioned/heated and has polished wooden floors to add character and ambience.

Large bi-fold doors open onto a private outside area with tiered seating, creating a natural amphitheatre for performances or ceremonies.

The hall has a capacity of 80 people for most events.

The hall has a range of tables and chairs to use.

The hall has a small kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, warming shelves, microwave, zip, kettle etc.

We do recommend outside catering for larger events.
